JooHee Pomplun, MPH

JooHee Pomplun has been an advocate for the health of Minnesota’s Asian community since 2005, when she joined the board of the Minnesota Asian/American Health Coalition, for which she later became the first executive director in 2008. During her tenure she led the creation of the Minnesota Community Blueprint to Asian/American Pacific Islander Health Equity and founded the Health Equity Working Committee, a collaborative of nonprofits, academia and community leaders from or serving Minnesota’s communities of color, indigenous, LGBTQ and allied communities advancing health equity at a systems and institutional level. JooHee currently works as a coalition organizer with the Alliance for Metropolitan Stability, is a contracted coordinator for Hmong American Partnership’s development of the Little Mekong Health Care Center and is a massage therapist at the People’s Movement Center. She serves as the Board Secretary to the University of Minnesota Community University Health Care Center. She has a BA in Women’s Studies and a Masters of Public Health, both from the University of Minnesota.
